Recent History

In the 1970’s Smyrna was still a small town.  The building that currently serves as Smyrna Middle School was, at that time, Smyrna High School.  One of the vocational programs offered was in home building.  I remember visiting a house in the adjoining subdivision that was being constructed by students in the program at Smyrna High.  Anyone else remember this?

What are your memories of Smyrna High School?



  1. I graduated in 74 . I helped build a home in a neighboring sub division. The class was General Building and Trades. It was a work class…work half the day thing. We also built our class room under the bleachers at the old high school football field. I moved to Dallas in 1978 , and have visited in recent years. I saw your posting , so I thought I would leave a comment.
